Ana is 45 years old and lives in California. As an administrative assistant for a local school district, she works long hours. Before joining Yes Health, her demanding 8am-5pm office schedule made her feel trapped in a sedentary routine. She usually ate lunch at her desk, reached for comfort foods that were quick and easy, and felt irritable too often with her family once she got home.
When COVID hit and her office life became a work-from-home life, Ana’s anxiety worsened and she began to feel depressed. It became clear to her that it was now or never: it was time to make a change. Ana set a goal to lose ten pounds in the first year, and by month six in the program, she’d lost over twenty-five pounds!
“For the past six months, I’ve barely craved anything that’s unhealthy! I’m in such a better mood overall. I still feel busy, but I don’t feel stressed anymore. Busy but relaxed and not irritable. And I love that my coaches never chastise me for what I eat. They support my choices (even when it’s chocolate) and suggest alternatives to try next time.
"I didn't have any day where I felt deprived. I thought I would have to starve myself to lose weight, and I kept feeling like I was overeating! But my coaches reassured me that wasn't the case, and I just kept losing weight and feeling better and better."
I initially wanted to lose ten pounds this year and ten pounds next year. I would have been happy with twenty pounds total, but I lost twenty-five pounds in the first six months!
It’s been all about making many small changes that have added up, and my coaches will never “make” me do anything. They are always there with encouragement and guidance and even celebrate when I vacuum the house! For any busy working mom, you know that sometimes chores deserve celebration.
One huge change I’ve made is walking on my lunch breaks and listening to music or audiobooks on parenting or self-help. This has created an incredible difference in my quality of life.

The free Fitbit was a huge game-changer. I get constant reminders to walk, and my goal is to get in 250 steps every hour and a walk on my lunch break. It usually adds up to about 10,000 steps per day or more. Now I add ankle and wrist weights, which has definitely helped with weight loss.
The Fitbit even reminds me to drink water, so now I walk more just because I have to get up to go to the bathroom more often!
I used to take antihistamines most days for allergies, but now I can breathe without any medication! I know it’s because of food and exercise. I also used to get skin rashes, but I haven’t had one since starting this program.
"Since I've changed my eating habits and begun incorporating more vegetables, my son and husband are eating a lot healthier! My husband also started walking, so this has majorly impacted my entire family."
What worked well for me was logging every meal, no matter what I ate. I also logged exercise, self-care, and hydration to hold myself accountable. I love that this program isn’t just focused on weight loss.

Any question, concern, or doubt that came up, my coaches were on it. They’ve become like my family, always there for unconditional support and motivation. I wish I could give them all a hug!”
